Privacy Policy

What we collect when you read, subscribe to or pay for Offside Research, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

The short version

  • We collect your email address to send you the newsletter, and little else unless you pay or write to us.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • You can unsubscribe in one click from any email, and ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

Offside Research (“Offside”, “we”, “us”) is a financial research publication operated by Gabriel Osorio Mazzilli, an individual based in Florida, United States, who is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

This policy covers offsideresearch.com, our emails, our paid membership, and the Telegram and Instagram services described below.

2. What we collect

When you subscribe

Your email address and, if you give it, your name. We also record when and where you signed up — the page or form, and the campaign or referral link that brought you, if any.

When you read our emails

Whether an email was delivered and opened, and which links were clicked. This is standard on our newsletter platform; see section 5.

When you become a paying member

Your plan, its status and your billing history. Payment details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor. We can see limited information such as your name, email, billing country and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.

When you join our Telegram rooms

To confirm that a Telegram account belongs to a paying member, our access bot links your Telegram user ID and username to your subscription. We use that link only to manage your access to the member rooms.

When you message us on Instagram

If you comment a keyword on one of our Instagram posts to request a resource, we process your Instagram username, account ID and comment so we can send you that resource by direct message.

When you contact us

The name, email address and message you send us, and our reply.

When you visit the website

Standard technical data: pages visited, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type. If you have an account, a session cookie keeps you signed in.

3. How we use it

Purpose Data used Legal basis
Sending the newsletter Email, name, signup details Your consent, given when you subscribe
Running your paid membership Plan, billing data, access to members’ pages Performance of our contract with you
Telegram access Telegram ID and username, subscription status Performance of our contract with you
Answering your requests Contact messages, Instagram comments Your request; our legitimate interest in replying
Improving our content Opens, clicks, site usage, in aggregate Our legitimate interest
Tax and accounting Payment records Legal obligation

We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who processes it for us

We share personal data only with the service providers that run Offside for us, and only what each one needs:

  • beehiiv — our newsletter, website and membership platform. Stores your subscription and sends our emails.
  • Stripe — processes payments and stores billing details.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the small services that run our Telegram and Instagram automations.
  • Telegram — hosts our member rooms and our internal membership notifications.
  • Meta (Instagram) — delivers comments and direct messages on our Instagram accounts.

Each of them processes your data under its own privacy policy and its agreement with us. We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

When you subscribe, we may suggest other newsletters we recommend. If you choose to subscribe to one of them, your email address is shared with that newsletter, at your request. For some of these recommendations we receive a referral fee. We never share your email with a recommended newsletter unless you select it yourself.

5. Cookies and email tracking

The website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping you signed in to your account, and analytics provided by our platform to measure how pages are used.

Our emails contain a small tracking pixel and tracked links, which tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. Links to our own site may carry campaign tags that show which email a visit came from. You can limit this by blocking images in your email client. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site, such as signing in, may stop working.

6. How long we keep it

  • Subscribers: while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your email only as long as needed to respect your choice and not email you again, and delete it sooner if you ask.
  • Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Telegram access: we keep the link between your Telegram account and your subscription while you are a member, and delete it if you ask us to.
  • Contact and Instagram messages: for 12 months after the conversation ends.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
  • correct data that is inaccurate;
  • have your data deleted;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before;
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

To stop receiving emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. To cancel a paid plan, use the manage-subscription link in the same place. For anything else, write to us at the address below. We will reply within 30 days and will not charge you for doing so. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

8. International transfers

Offside and most of our service providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Security

We limit access to personal data to the people who need it to run Offside, and we rely on providers that encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that it never will be breached. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.

10. Children

Offside is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has subscribed, contact us and we will delete their data.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the way we handle data changes, and revise the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data go to [email protected], or by post to Gabriel Osorio Mazzilli, 11542 Charnock Dr., Windermere, FL 34786, United States.
